Rose Diamond:  All her life Rose has been asking the questions "What does it mean to be alive at this time?  What am I really here to do? What unique contribution can I make? The answers have come as she chose to uncompromisingly follow her  creative process and live her life as a journey of experiential learning. A lifelong educator and visionary thinker, she has spent much of her life in groups: educational, therapeutic, spiritual and dialogic.  An avid reader, she early developed theoretical and practical interests in psyche, culture and the process of liberation. A compulsion to write started in childhood, and developed through a mix of inspiration, perseverance, experimentation, and a burning desire to understand and communicate her experiences. A passionate love of wild nature has led her to sek sanctuary in beautiful places and fired her commitment to social transformation. Born in England, she lived nineteen years in Scotland before leaving in the early '90's to begin the soul journey which brought her to Aotearoa-New Zealand in late '94.  She made her home in Nelson and Golden Bay at the top of the South Island, where she wrote and published her first book, Migration to the Heartland: A Soul Journey in Aotearoa.  New Zealand has been a place of spiritual development and community participation for Rose. It is a natural soul sanctuary  she longs to see preserved as a place of inspiration and solace for its people and for the world. Her dream is to create a sanctuary for deep soul work in Golden Bay.  



Woods Elliott was born in the US and studied philosophy and art in college. He earned a master's degree in social work in '69 and pursued a fifteen year career in the mental health field in psychiatric, child abuse, relationship counseling, family therapy and correctional settings. He was a conscientious objector during the Vietnam war, a civil rights and mental patient activist and a great admirer of native Americans. By the late '70's he couldn't contain a midlife push for fresh adventures, and migrated to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Here he taught himself home-based furniture restoration skills and had a love affair with Mother Nature that stirred him into environmental activism, prospecting for gold and Indian artifacts, and cultivating an alternative lifetsyle. Open heart surgery at age 49 opened his heart in more ways than one and cast him onto a more spiritual path. Daily meditator, lifelong ponderer and writer, Woods would love to see the birth of a new spirit and nature-centred society, and eventually a Whole New World. His book,  Dazzlephrenia: a base-line human madness that a dazzling cosmos causes, will be published this year.

Rose and Woods are soul friends who share a vision for the evolution of the world and a commitment to developing consciousness and being Peace-in-action. They work together as writers and editors and are co-directors of  Fire Seeds Publishing and A Whole New World.

Our mission is to contribute to the vision for a Whole New World by facilitating the creation of life-serving systems within ourselves, our relationships, communities, businesses and within organizations.
